Thai security personnel inspect the site of an attack on an army patrol in the troubled southern Yala province October 3, 2010. Three soldiers were killed and another three were wounded when gunmen opened fire on their patrol in Yala province, according to police. Yala is one of three predominantly Muslim provinces bordering Malaysia where more than 4,100 people have been killed in six years of unrest.
