Morning Update: Giuliani Urges Hamas Isolation
Rudy Giuliani said the situation in Gaza will be “a microcosm (AP) of what’s going to happen in Baghdad ” if the United States pulls out of Iraq . He said the United States should continue to up its support for Fatah and isolate Hamas in Gaza.
Democratic candidate Bill Richardson, lagging in polls, is expected to give a major speech on Iran policy today in Washington, D.C. He will call on the United States to tell Iran that if it develops nuclear weapons, it “will face devastating global sanctions.”
