Voter Perceptions on Leadership and Foreign Policy

A new poll from the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press shows Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) having strengthened his leadership image among voters in recent months.

  •  The poll, which surveyed 2,414 registered voters, shows 51 percent of voters say McCain would use “good judgment in a crisis,” up from 47 percent in June.
  • By comparison, 36 percent say Obama would exercise good judgment, down from 38 percent in June.
  • 14 percent of Obama supporters say his foreign policy is what they like most about him.
  • 26 percent of McCain supporters say his foreign policy positions are what they favor the most about him.
